Brenda Reyna - Mount Vernon

Brenda is hands down the most decorated female wrestler in the history of Mount Vernon. She is a 3x state placer and is seeking her second state title in the coming year. Brenda is also a 2x National Champion and will represent Team USA at the Junior World Tournament in France, this September. Brenda started wrestling when she was in 7th grade. Prior to wrestling, Brenda was involved in Karate and was able to obtain a junior black belt. She has also been awarded Skagit Valley Herald’s Girls’ Wrestler of the Year, 2 years in a row.

Accomplishments:

2016

1st Fargo Nationals - All American

1st place at Body Bar Junior Nationals

1st place WIAA State.

2nd place at USAW Girls Folkstyle Nationals

2nd place Team WA Women National Duals

3rd place at Body Bar Cadet Nationals

 

2015

1st place at WSWA Freestyle State

1st place at Flo Reno Worlds

2nd place at WIAA State

3rd place at Fargo Cadet Nationals

3rd place at Body Bar Cadet Nationals

 

2014

1st place Team WA Women National Duals

3rd place at Fargo Cadet Nationals

3rd place at Fargo Junior Nationals

4th place at WIAA State

Brenda shows her dedication on and off the mat by taking honors and AP classes. She gives back to her community by volunteering with her church and is a part of her church’s youth group. On her free time she enjoys exploring the outdoors and hanging out with her friends and family.
