Ryan has a strong work ethic, focus, and drive in the wrestling room.  Ryan has a no quit attitude towards wrestling and life in general which has helped him to be successful on and off the wrestling mat.  Ryan trains 4 days a week from September – June and has competed in 141 tournaments in the last 7 years. Ryan is currently training under Coach Dustin Baxter and has also had the opportunity to practice under Coach Andy Cook for many years as well.   Ryan considers himself lucky to have great partners in the wrestling room but also great competitors throughout the state to keep pushing him to get better. (Many of which he considers friends)

Ryan is an outstanding student at Laventure Middle School. His favorite subject is Math where he is currently working at an 8th grade level.  Ryan hopes to apply these Math skills to an engineering profession in the future.

Ryan enjoys the following activities outside of wrestling:

Mountain Biking, Skiing, Backpacking, Soccer, and Band.  This last summer 2016 Ryan completed the Wonderland trail with his family, which is a 93 mile loop hiking trail around Mount Rainier in 9 days.  The trail gains and drops about 23,000 ft in elevation so it is quite an accomplishment to complete this hike.
