Board Meeting Minutes
June 2, 2013

Board Members present:
Jay Terry, Beth Michaelson, Suzie Velarde, Dave Gilbertson, Ty Michaelson, Tom Martin, Ron Beard

Board Members not present:
Luke Leifer, Mary Ann Douglas, Melissa Simmons, Andy Cook, Chris Feist, Kim Burchett, Jim Burchett, Craig Hanson, Sean Ekerson

Call to Order:
Chairman Jay Terry called the meeting to order at 6:12pm

New Business:
• Discussion on tshirts and corporate sponsors for the state tournaments next year.
Ty will draft a letter asking for tshirt bids for Jay to review
Jonathon Dodds has expressed an interest in being the promotions director for a percentage. Board will consider the idea of paying a sponsorship coordinator at a later date.

Board Reports:
Jay Terry, Chairman:
• $250 dual team cost has helped recruit top quality Team Washington participants. Looking strong and hoping for at least 1 top 3 finish.
• Kids are getting to Fargo on their own.
• Rented a charter bus in Fargo instead of vans for a significant cost reduction.

Ron Beard, Eastern Kids Director:
• Has first list from Western Regionals, 70 kids signed up so far with preregistration closing in 4 days. Walk in wrestlers will check in at the Team Washington Table

Tom Martin, Officials Director:
• Met with National Coaches and spoke with kids at the end of practice regarding rules changes, still a few questions but will hopefully get some clarification from School Boy coaches

Dave Gilbertson, Web Director:
• Asked coaches to send him team pictures so he can post them on the web

Ty Michaelson, Promotions Director:
• No report

Suzie Velarde, Travel Director:
• School Boys, Cadet’s and Jr dual teams are all set to go
• Fargo tickets have been purchased and itineraries have been mailed
• Coaches stipends are mailed prior to coaches leaving for trip
