2018 USMC CADET AND JUNIOR NATIONALS

Cadets and Juniors Nationals are for any wrestler in the Cadet and Junior Divisions.

Items to do:

• Make your deposit payment by May 19, 2018
• Make all payments by July 1, 2018
• Fill out the medical waiver and code of conduct and bring to Fargo Camp

Fargo Hotel Information:

• Hotel rooms are taken care of for the wrestlers.  All parents must call and reserve your own room.

***All wrestlers need to bring money to Fargo for food.  Food is on your own.  All gear is to be picked up at Duals or in Fargo.

Weigh in information:

• All wrestlers must make scratch weight for both styles. Freestyle & Greco both have 2 weigh ins with a 2 pound allowance on the second weigh in. The only division that only has 1 weigh in is Cadet Freestyle Girls.

• Schedule of wrestling:

Cadet Freestyle: Weigh in Friday (July 13th) night and begin wrestling on Saturday. Sunday morning weigh in again with a 2 pound allowance and finals on Monday. 

• Cadet Greco: Weigh in Tuesday (July 17th) night and begin wrestling on Wednesday. Weigh in again on  Thursday with a 2 pound allowance and finish wrestling on Friday.

• Junior Freestyle: Weigh in on Saturday (July 14th) night and begin wrestling on Sunday. Monday morning weigh in again with a 2 pound allowance and finals on Tuesday.

• Junior Greco: weigh in on Wednesday (July 18th) night and begin wrestling on Thursday. Weigh in again on Friday morning with a 2 pound allowance and wrestling concludes Saturday afternoon.

• Cadet Women: weigh in Sunday (July 15th) night and wrestle Monday and finish on Tuesday.

• Junior Women: weigh in Wednesday (July 17th) morning. Wrestle on Wednesday and weigh in again on Thursday morning with a 2 pound allowance.  Finals and medal matches are on Friday.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The cost to attend Fargo is $450 minus your portion of the $2 fund (This is based off how many WSWA tournaments an athlete participates in, generally $25 off up to 10 tournaments).  This includes; transportation in Fargo, entry fee, hotel, coaching and 2 National Team Camps.

Non-refundable deposits of $200 are due by May 19th at midnight to secure your spot.

The National Team gear is optional but you must have Team Washington singlets (any year will work). To purchase the gear go to: 

HOW DO I QUALIFY

To qualify you need to participate in the 2018 Washington State Freestyle and Greco State Championship May 5th and 6th at Northwest Sports Hub in Centralia, WA.  The top 3 finishers are guaranteed a spot on Team Washington, or place in the Top 4 at NW Regionals or any Regional Tournament.  If you place 4th or lower at State you will still most likely be able to participate.  You must contact Justin Newby by email (jnewbyusa@gmail.com) and fill out our Fargo Petition. 

All those wrestlers that attend Fargo are expected to attend Fargo Camp at Cispus Learning Center, Randle, WA June 30 - July 3.

FARGO CAMP: JUNE 30 - JULY 3, 2018

Location: Cispus Learning Center - Randle, WA

Check-in: June 30, 2018 12pm

Session Times are: TBD

Cost is $200 for Non- National Team Members.  Those attending Fargo the camp is free.

ALL WRESTLERS MUST HAVE A USA CARD

Food and Lodging is provided for those attending the camp. 

Items to bring: wrestling gear, workout clothes enough for 2-3 workouts per day, towels, toiletries, bedding.​
