Meet:  PAYTON STROUD -White River - Senior

Started wrestling her freshman year (surprising her family and soccer coach) however since the start Payton has been a STATE participant every year.  As a Sophmore Payton placed 7th and last year, her Junior year placed 2nd.  Consistently moving through a tough weight class and of course this year she is gunning for the top spot on the podium! 

Her favorite is post season and wrestling freestyle with the Washington State National Teams.  Since being a part of their program and USA Wrestling she has placed as an ALL-AMERICAN 9 times in three years and participated as a National Team member 4 times in the last two years.  Payton’s goals are to make a World Team and to wrestle for a top women’s college majoring in Business. 

When Payton isn’t wrestling she participates with Young Life, The FCA and this year she will be running the “Destined to Shine” program that Cameron Guerin created last year promoting and celebrating the next generations of girl wrestlers.  

Payton has two older brothers and older sister. Mom (Tori) and Dad (Kevin) run Doxsa Crossfit and AdvoCare Nutritional Coaching program.
