We will head south around 7 am on Friday Mar. 8 collecting or meeting up with wrestlers starting from the north and working our way south. There will be vehicles assigned to different areas of pickup (Northside, Eastside of state, Central, and South) a few wrestlers may ride down with their parents or family, but will stay with the team once we arrive in Ashland and this year in Redding CA. There will be a central meeting place/time for those taking the same route so we’ll travel as a caravan.
We will arrive in Ashland around 4:30-5 pm, stopping for lunch in route, at Vintage Inn Restaurant located at 1590 Gateway Blvd Cottage Grove, OR 97424. 541-942-7144, each wrestler will be responsible for their own meals.
After arriving in Ashland we will run a light practice, shower then continue our trek to the hotel in Redding area, rooms are reserved for wrestlers, coaches/designated drivers (family members are responsible for their own lodging). Wrestlers will all stay together lodge in same hotel and be on their own for dinner.
This year March 9th- Saturday morning we travel to Simpson College, 2211 College View Drive, Redding CA 96003, weigh-in at 10:00 am. We will then wrestle both Oregon and California and watch the match between Oregon/Calif …the order of matches are not determined at this time, the match times are scheduled for 2,4,6 pm.. Note; your parent or school coach can be at mat side. After completion of matches we will return to the hotel in Redding area where wrestlers will be responsible for their dinner plans. (The team usually heads to In & Out Burger). This year’s hotel is Redding, California Fairfield Inn at 5164 Caterpillar Rd. Redding California, 96003. Parents/coaches should have no problem reserving rooms at same location.
March 10th -Sunday morning, we head back north toward Washington, with stops for quick meals/gas we should arrive in Seattle area around 6-8pm.
We have a full team of some of the best wrestlers in the state and are looking forward to great competition.
